As with anything there are always two sides. Things and people that age gracefully are generally preferred by everyone.</p>
<p>When you get older, it is important to know who you are and what you like. When you focus on what you like, and keep things around you positive, you accent the good things you have going in your life, and will not allow any negative emotions or situations to bring you down.</p>
<p>To keep your body in great shape as you grow older, get plenty of exercise! Aging can weaken your muscles, but regular exercise will keep them strong and healthy. Try to combine both cardiovascular exercises with some light strength training. Both forms of exercise can do plenty of make you look and feel younger.</p>
<p>Bone loss is a huge aging-related issue, especially for women (but for men too). If you don&#8217;t get enough calcium in your diet, your body will take what it needs from your bones, leaving you with brittle, fragile bones that are very prone to breakage. To prevent this, be sure to include a variety of calcium sources in your diet such as dairy, dark green leafy vegetables, and calcium supplements.</p>
<p>Use olive oil and remember fat does not equal bad. Oils have gotten a bad rap in the past few decades but oils are essential to our health. The trick is to stay away from &#8220;fake&#8221; fats like trans fats. The use of olive oil has many heart healthy benefits so don&#8217;t shy away from using it. Try making your own salad vinaigrette&#8217;s of olive oil and balsamic vinegar.</p>
<p>As the years go by, our habits harden. We tend to become sclerotic in mind as well as body. Overcoming this is the secret to good aging. Open up to new interests, people and places. Try something you thought you couldn&#8217;t do. Challenge those dead habits and new life will unfold!</p>

But remember you should only drink alcohol in moderation. Drinking a moderate amount of red wine has also been shown to reduce your risk for heart problems.</p>
<p>A powerful anti-aging compound is found in red wine. The compound resveratrol has been shown to have effects on slowing the aging process. It is not known yet if the amounts of resveratrol can significantly increase lifespan, but when used in moderation, red wine is a beneficial component to help slow the aging process.</p>
<p>You may want to take resveratrol. Researchers have found some promising connections between calorie restricted diets and anti-aging benefits. You can find it in nuts and grapes. Resveratrol can be found in some supplements and in Japanese knotweed. You can also find it in a shrub from South America called Senna Quinwuangulata.</p>
<p>To age brings troubles, sure, but with every trouble there is generally a plus side. For instance, your wine may have had to age for years before being enjoyed, which is troublesome because you have to wait for a long time to enjoy it. But when you do get to savor the experience of that wine aging, it is well worth it.</p>
